Life at Home

Everything has been going great here with Mom gone. We miss them all, but we especially miss our little sister!

We have been getting a lot done outside this past week. Look we found? A little mousy sitting out in the warm sunshine. Sad to say that is the last he will ever sit in the sunshine! :( We have too many mice around here and this baby mouse wasn't the only one they found. The boys spent a lot of time hunting them down in our shop. Squealing and yelling when one would come flying out at them from some crack or corner. They actually were able to kill quite a few of them. I finally offered to pay Joshua $1 a mouse, cause the dog room seemed to be full of them. I would go out at night and almost always see one run across the floor. He jumped at the opportunity and caught around 6 mice in two days. I secretly wished I had offered him money sooner, as before we weren't catching any. =X The dog room is now "mice free"!! :)
This tree is so pretty when in full bloom. I don't know what kind it is, but I love taking pictures of it.
The bees are busy buzzing around getting nectar for the hive.
swinging Micah David
As you can tell, he loves to be in his swing!!

Micah recently planted our entire yard area in grass. It is a bit hard not walking on it for a couple weeks, but in the end it will all be worth it!
He spread oat hay over it to keep the wind from blowing the seed away and to hold in some moisture!
If you want grass, you have to water, water and water!
All finished. Now we just have to wait for it to come up! :)
Our strawberries were supper thick and weren't producing very well, so Dad went and thinned them out.
Leaving us with around 600 strawberry plants. We transplanted about 100 of them, and are still trying to decide what to do with the rest..
Joshua putting compost on the raspberries.

Can't wait to have fresh berries!
We planted over 300 onion plants in the big garden and a row of snap peas. Sometime this week we are going to be planting potatoes.

haha, this was so cute. I love his expressions!! :)
