Our cute, soft, cuddly little calf grew up. |
And growing up wasn't a smart idea. He got so big we decided he would fit better in the freezer. He was very friendly and it was hard to see him go. |
Cutting the meat off the bone.. |
Grinding it into hamburger... |
Packing... |
We got close to 300 pounds of meat off of him. We have been enjoying it ever since. |
That little calf sure grew up to be some yummy meat =P Many hands make light work when there's a big job to do!! :)

Aww, that was probably kinda sad! But I can imagine how awesome it is to have all that meat in the freezer too!! (I love seeing pictures of "home") :) Looks like you guys did a good job!
ReplyDeleteNeato! That is a lot of meat! :)

Sorry to see Justin twisted his ankle! I've done that umpteen times so I can empathize. And as for the calf- if you think about how healthy he was, you won't be crying so hard as you eat all that beef! :D But I understand that attachment too.
