What's All That White Stuff?

I am here to announce that it's the new year everyone!! Ok, you already knew, but the realization is just now starting to sink in. The last dogs went home on Wednesday morning and we are all relaxing under none of the past responsibilities! :) I have to say, we are kinda enjoying it! Micah and Jenny have finished moving to the new place and we are excited to announce that it won't be long till we are moving as well! :)

We have been having very cold nights, getting down in the teens. One morning we woke up with a layer of snow on the ground. It wasn't much, but at least it snowed! :) The sky was already clear and the snow melted almost by lunch, except for the parts in the shade stayed with us for a few days.

Oops, I think I got my shadow in there! :/

Mount Lemmon

We went up to Mount Lemmon last Sunday to see if we could get some sledding in. Sadly it seemed like the entire Tucson population decided to do the same thing! All the good sledding places were swarming with people, so we hiked in off the road a ways and made our own trail.

After we spent some time covering up some logs, we had a pretty nice little trail.

The only problem was it was a bit steep and a log crossed over the trail at the very bottom.

We piled up snow on one side, which sent us sailing every time we got to the bottom.

As you can tell here, it didn't always feel the best lol.

Despite the bump we gritted our teeth and had an awesome time!

Jubilee loved all the snow. When she heard that we were going sledding she says, "I want to go snowing!" :)

And this was our amazing day ,

...all piled at the bottom of the slope laughing, groaning and wondering if we should take another wing at it!
