And I am back again with another small post for all of you. :) Between cleaning houses, taking a little old lady to Tucson to get a new battery for her car, taking her grocery shopping, tending to the dogs and all the other chores my list contains, I finally found enough time to sit down and load some pictures on here. Life can be interesting sometimes...
Yesterday while taking Irene Williams to town, she mentioned that if her house sold, she wasn't going to have any place to go. She thought about it for a bit and then she came up with an idea that made me laugh. She said, "I know, I will just kidnap you and we could go live in a tepee." I told her I thought it would get pretty lonely, and she agreed that it would be, since we would be the only ones living in a tepee. lol What 85 year old ladies don't come up with! :) Our drives there are never a silent moment!! :)
The weather has been "freezing" cold! Only today has it reached up to 50 degrees out. We had snow a few days back and in certain spots it still remains, waiting for a day warm enough to send it back into the air, or the ground. :) For the last maybe 5 days it has been getting down to around 10 degrees at night. It is so frozen by morning that nothing thaws out by the next evening. I will be glad when our warm weather is back. Training Koda in the cold isn't very fun! :/
The boys decided to add onto the fort that they had already made. I think the intention was to make it big enough that they could all comfortably sleep in it without being totally crammed. Even then, only two could sleep in it at a time, so this way they didn't have to take turns. :) I was quick to remind them that they were not sleeping out there till Spring! |

They took old pallet boards apart for the siding. |
|

Note: They did it all by themselves.. and I think they win best of show on this one! :)

Micah and Dad got their first tree removal job. They chipped up most of the small stuff for mulch and the rest they brought home for fire wood. |

Micah up in the tree... |
 |
Dad took these pictures from his phone, so they aren't real clear. |

 |
The boys loaded up the mulch and put it around all our trees. |
|

 |
They also mowed down our raspberries and covered them with mulch. We will have lots of juicy berries this spring! :) |

The boys ran outside as soon as they saw that it had snowed to gather enough to make snow ice cream. They were scared it would all melt before they had a chance. Nobody wants to miss out on snow ice cream. Mom mixed it up for them and we were all eating cold, snow ice cream before breakfast around the fire. |
 |
We didn't get a whole lot, but it was enough to satisfy the little boys. Snow is a treat and we hardly ever get it. |
 |
Sweet Micah David! |

Koda decided he would rather keep his feet dry! :) jk |
Nice post Joylin! haha your conversation with Irene had me giggling! =)
ReplyDeleteThe boys did an awesome job on their fort! What good carpenters, and I bet the matching overalls even helped them do a better job! ;)
My "little" boys are not so "little" anymore! They are growing up to be handsome young men! =) They look like very good helpers around the farm!
Love you guys!!
