Sledding in Mount Lemmon

Is there snow in Arizona?

We decided to jump in the van to see if we could find any. The mountain was brown all the way to the top as far as we could see, as we started up the long incline. 

Passing the sign that says "altitude 5000 feet".. no snow. :/

Could this be a hopeless journey? Was it just a story going around that there was snow up here?

Our winter has been so warm, that well... it feels kinda like spring. We were spoiled with 5 snows last year.. but so far none this year. We just had to find snow!

6000 feet, 7000 feet, and then just as we were coming to 8000 feet we saw it. All stacked up along the road. White, cold crispy snow. 

Our journey had not been in vain. Enough to sled in?... nope, guess that could be a problem. Lets drive higher!!

Finally we came around a corner and found a spot where there was a lot of other people sledding. 

We had found it!! Snow in Arizona!! With the perfect hill to go sledding down. :)

Cries of excitement went up as the boys and girls bounded out of the van! Snow!!

We spent hours sliding down those hills..

Those same exact hills, but each time it was different. Sometimes a good ride to end up successfully at the bottom.

Other times to come crashing down upon one another. All landing in one big heap. Laughing hysterically!!  

Making another day full of memories is what we did. We had a wonderful time, and yes, 

there is snow in Arizona!! :)
