Processing the Meat


 {Pork}
After we got all the meat cut off the bone we ground most of it up and made it into sausage.
Mixing in the spices.

We also rendered our own lard.
We ground up the fat and threw it into the roaster pan. Cooking it on low kept it from scalding.

Melting down.. 

After it's all melted down you strain out all the pieces.

And that's how you make beautiful, white, great tasting, lard. :)
 {Beef}
Micah borrowed the meat saw from his Dad. It makes great steaks, t-bones, roasts, etc...

We are so thankful for all the good meat we got! :)
