The Month of June

Wow, so much has been happening!  Jaylon's been combining oats in a field close by and we have been making it our duty not to let him get bored by taking turns riding with him. The days have been up in the 100's, so working outside has to wait till evening time. Now that the monsoons have started we get relief from the heat in the evenings when the storm clouds come rolling in.

Kyle turned 1 on the first of this month. Crazy to believe that he is already that old! He's growing up into such a handsome little boy! :)
Hannah had us over for his birthday party. I thought it was really cute how she decorated it all!!
Opening his presents..

A blessing for the taking!! A van hit this cow on the road almost in front of our house. Dad went to check it out and the cow had two legs broken and was sitting along the road watching everything that was going on. The owner was at the scene and asked Dad to take her off his hands. They shot her on the spot and brought her straight home, butchered her and hung her up in the ice box. It is always hard to tell what kind of damage has been done to something that has been hit on the road. We were so thankful to find only a small spot of bruised meat along her back. With LOTS of meat in the freezer now, we have been enjoying lots of beef for ourselves and for others!

I have a new puppy, Pepper! Joanna was wanting to raise puppies, but we were having a hard time finding a male. And so the story goes on....
He is so tiny, all covered in spots!
Joanna went and stayed with Chris, Jessica and Kezia for three weeks
She was there over the time that Jason was born. Isn't he such a doll! I can't wait to hold and kiss him on his little cheek and tell him how much this Auntie really loves him!! Hopefully that won't be too far in the future!!

One day we found this little bird abandoned in the drive way.
We felt sorry for him and brought him into the house. We fed him flies all through out the day and he was doing great! He didn't live through the first night.  It was kinda sad!!
Jubilee adored him.

I guess we will never know what kind of bird he would've grown up to be...
The kittens are growing fast. Kaitlyn has claimed the little gray one, which now goes by the name of Bert, the little striped female goes to the cousins....
The black one Jubilee has claimed. She calls "him" Butterfly! lol

Mom's been keeping lots of healthy things growing in the greenhouse and the garden.
Starting out a new garden is a lot of work. It comes with a lot of new things to figure out. Looks like our harvest won't be the greatest this year. Our raspberries are coming up nicely, but won't be producing till next year, and we are really missing all the fruit we would've been getting around this time of year. Anyway, despite all that we are really enjoying our new place! :)
Dad went to town and this little doggy came up to him and wouldn't leave. Dad felt sorry for her and brought her home. We are still deciding what to do with Flower (as Jubilee calls her). Anyone want a dog?

Joshua, Jared and I rode along with 12 others to Georgia to a YF Banquet and Meetings. There are a little too many pictures to add to this post, so I will try and get them posted soon.

Hope you all have an amazing day!!
