Surprise!!!

I know I haven't been the greatest blogger lately, so I thought I would drop in a short post. :)
Justin came in the other day and informed us that there was a chick running around with it's mother. We were all shocked, cause we didn't even have a clue that she was setting. We went out to the chicken pen and sure enough there it was. To make a long story short, every time the boys would go out to do the chickens this little hen would be out and so they just put her back in the pen, time and time again. There was talk of clipping her wings, but  after they saw the chick a comment was made that they were really glad that they hadn't. We looked around till we found her nest of eggs and another chick which didn't look so great. We did get it revived and it seemed like it was going to be ok, but it died a little later. So now we have one new chick, and I don't think anymore of the eggs are going to hatch.

If you are wondering how we are doing? Well, we are all doing great! Mom is doing really awesome, too! We all can hardly wait till September!! :)
I will try to get some more posts on here soon. The boys built an awesome tree fort, so I will try to get some pics of that. :)
