Spring is Springing

Hi Everyone, Spring is here and I am excited!!
Everywhere there is signs of spring. The weather has been incredibly warm, the bees are busy gathering nectar, the trees are full of blossom and things are starting to grow everywhere. Nature has set off the alarm that winter is over.
In a way I am glad to see the winter in the past, but we have a long hot summer to look forward too. I love the spring, but I'm not exactly looking forward to the long hot summer days ahead.

With the great urge of life springing out everywhere gave us the ambition to clean up and get the gardens ready for spring planting.
The guys have been staying really busy with work, so lots of things at home don't get done like they should. This Saturday everyone was at home, so we all jumped in and helped get some things done.
The newest toy on our farm is a tractor. Comes in very handy with all the garden work. Joshua has learn't to run it and thoroughly enjoys it!
Out came the lawn mower for the first time this year. The yard is growing out and needs trimmed. I was surprised this morning when I looked out the window and saw Millie in the front yard. (Dad likes to spoil her) :) I failed to remember to snap a picture. :-/
Jared hard at work.
With lots of wood chips coming in from work, we decided to take out the raised beds and put down mulch in our small garden. We quick dug all the carrots before they filled the garden up with chips.

Micah David helping Grandma wash the carrots. :)
l.o.l. I think he picked the biggest one! :)

Uh oh.. look who we found! :)
Mom and Joanna planted pansies in the front yard.
Dad weed-eating...

I stayed busy cleaning up while carrying my camera around snapping pictures.
Hope you are all enjoying spring as much as we are! :)

Brings back so many memories, those were busy but fun days when everyone was outside helping to get the place in order again!
Looks like you all are doing a great job, even though I'm not there to give orders! haha ;)

  3. "Dirty and Sweet" - Such a cute baby. :)

Spring is a beautiful and exciting season, most definitely! (Here, it warmed up to nearly 40 degrees the other day - I was super excited! Obviously, there's no daisy patches out yet, but the snow piles should start melting soon. :D)
