Indonesia Project

This year all the school children, including us, sent our Jesus Jar money in to help with the Indonesia project at VGR. We then did a study on it and all the kids did a demonstration on different parts of Indonesia.
Here are some different ones...

Let the demonstrations begin!!
V.G.R in Indonesia

People of Indonesia
Jared did the Animals of Indonesia
Arts and Religion

Indonesia Foods

Volcanoes and Waterfals of Indonesia

We also made different foods from Indonesia and had everyone to sample a bit of it. We all agreed that it was pretty interesting.
Arem-Arem (stuffed rice rolls)

We made Indonesian Chicken with Spicy Peanut Sauce
Bakwan Jagung (corn fritters)

Perkedel Jagung (corn fritters)

Klepon (rice balls)

Pisang Goreng (banana and plantain fritters)

Cap Cao (mixed veggies)

Lapis Surabaya or Spiku (surabaya layer cake)

And then since Shadow Puppet Shows are a really big thing in Indonesia, one of the brothers and his daughter put on a show for us of the Nativity.

They put a lot of thought and work into it.

It turned out really amazing!!!

And that is the end of our amazing day! :)
