Cleaning & Painting

So many things were happening the week we were trying to move in. The people had moved out by the 15th, which was a Thursday. Justin and Kaitlyn got engaged on the 17th and Harmony in the Desert was from the 14th to the 18th. We came to the house and cleaned and then drove to Tucson for Harmony in the evenings. That was our story for the weekend. Then after Harmony was over, we jumped in on Monday and Tuesday, finished cleaning and painted the living room, dining room, four bedrooms, the kitchen and two bathrooms. Some of us had a snowboarding trip coming up on Wednesday to Friday, so we were really greatful for Kaitlyn and Juliana's help and we got a lot done in two days.

This kitchen has so many cabinets and it took a while to get them all clean.

This room will be the office. 

Mom has always wanted a yellow kitchen, so we made sure that she got it! 

We painted a lot of the house a tan. It really brightened things up! :)

This wall was just to purple and didn't go with the yellow, so we painted it tan like the living room.

All done! :)

The boys picked a green and brown for their room and were anxious to get the paint on the walls. I don't blame them! :)

We are really enjoying the new house! Now that we are starting to get settled in, it feels like home! There's a lot more work still to do, but we get a little done day by day! It is hard to show all that we did on the blog, but it gives you an idea! :)
