Fire Update

Horseshoe 2 Fire
Acres: 100,000 (5th largest wildfire in Arizona’s history)
Containment: 75%
Notes: Winds will remain a big challenge today, with gusts out of the southwest around 45 mph. This will push smoke into far eastern Cochise County and western New Mexico. Heading into the weekend, winds will ease up, but a new challenge could hinder firefighters: dry thunderstorms. While isolated in variety Sunday, these are anticipated to pop up near the New Mexico border and produce little rainfall.

A bit of information I got off of the internet.
A view of the fire on the Chiricahua mountains from our front lane.

We got a call from a person that lives up near the fire, and she just wanted to know that if they had to evacuate, if there would be enough room here for there 1 dog and 6 cats. We assured her that there was and she felt much better after that. :) I can hardly imagine living that close to the fire!! Must be awful!
We are all praying for rain, cause they say it will be the only way to stop it.

A clip of the fire.
