Smoke...

There is a fire in the White Mountains over a 150 miles away, burning 233,000 acres so far. There is also a fire on the Chiricahua mountains east of us which has burn't off over a 100,000 acres so far. We can see the Chiricahua mountains from here and the smoke looks like volcanoes billowing up into the sky. The wind that we have been having has been doing havoc! The sad part about it is that it is burning our ponderosa pine forests that were always fun to camp in in the summer time.
Between the both of them we have been getting a lot of smoke. Yesterday the smoke was so strong that it would burn your lungs to go outside.
The fire is moving a lot of people from there homes and has burnt quite a few of the summer cabins and lodges.
The sun was having a hard time shining through.

Today is not quite so windy and the smoke has lifted. :) So we are happy for that.
