Harmony in the Desert

Harmony in the Desert: a place where believers come from all over the world to share their different musical talents with other believers.
 We have been attending Harmony in the Desert for quite a few years now and have always enjoyed it. And every year the idea would come up "why don't we sing at Harmony?" and it is always just set to the side with a "maybe next year." Well this year Dad came home from work one evening and he says that he has something to tell us all. When we all gathered around to find out what he had to say we really didn't have a clue what he was about to say. When he said, "there is a very good possibility that we will be singing at Harmony next week!!" Some of us gasped, others looked scared, some looked very excited. Us singing at Harmony?? The question was left in mid air for a few minutes. And then it went as it usually goes in a big family, everyone talking at once. "I don't think we can do that" "Yeah, lets do it" "We only have a couple of days to practice." and you know how it goes. Well, we thought since Dad already called in and said that we were going to sing, we may as well give it a try. We only had a little more then a week to practice, and the more we practiced the more we became excited about it. The first day came that we were supposed to go in for a practice singing. All went well except everyone could tell by the way we looked that we had never been on a stage before. lol :) We sang on Thursday night and the Lord really helped us. The thought of singing in front of so many people was a bit scary, but once we got up there it wasn't as bad as we thought. We then sang again Sunday in front of around 800 people, not to mention the 2000 or more people listening in.
