The New Addition to Our Little Country Farm

Since the cow is gone, it seemed a little lonely around here with just chickens, dogs and cats, so last week we picked up Peanut, who came with a Dogde Ram. They came from a lady that was completely blind, but very sweet. She hated to part with them but she had got a job in Phoenix and didn't have the time to spend with them. Peanut is a very sweet little donkey, and at the age of 4 he is still full of energy. The little boys have been enjoying him to the fullest.

Joanna is also having fun working with him, being that he is a bit rusty in some areas.

Peanut and Dodge were very close. Where ever Peanut went, Dodge went also. But sadly he was and old ram and a few days after we got him he became weaker and weaker. He finally died and peanut is really missing him. Yesterday he kept braying and that isn't normal unless you are coming to feed him. Shows you how true a friendship can be. Even between a donkey and an old ram.

  3. I love the Kaitlyn's comment!! lol, such a sweet pair. It's a shame Dodge was so much older than Peanut.

  5. When I 1st read Dodge Ram I was think a truck and what a nice blessing for your family! But thinking how could a blind lady take care of a dodge ram! HA HA Looks like Peanut is going to be quite fun to have! I sure the boys will help ease his loneliness for Dodge! Robin Barber
