Still Waters Camp

On our way to Pennsylvania Dad and Mom dropped Jessica, Jaylon, and I off at the Still Waters Camp in Jeffersonville, IN, and it was AWESOME! The song below someone shared with us while we were in PA. A brother added the last verse onto the end just for still waters camp. I really liked it and I know you will too! :)
BESIDE THE STILL WATERS

BESIDE THE STILL WATERS, IN PASTURES OF GREEN
THE SHEPHERD IS LEADING, WHERE ALL IS SERENE
BY DAY AND BY NIGHT, HE WILL ALWAYS BE SEEN
BESIDE THE STILL WATERS OF PEACE,
FOR HE'S THE GOOD SHEPHERD, WHO DIED FOR THE SHEEP
HIS OWN, HE HAS PROMISED TO KEEP
HE LOVINGLY WATCHES, AND GUARDS WHILE THEY SLEEP
BESIDE THE STILL WATERS OF PEACE

BESIDE THE STILL WATERS, THE SHEEP FIND THEIR REST
THE SHEPHERD STANDS BY, SO THAT NONE CAN MOLEST
THE FLOCK, BY HIS PRESENCE, IS HAPPY AND BLEST
BESIDE THE STILL WATERS OF PEACE,
THE SHEEP KNOW HIS VOICE, AND THEY GO NOT ASTRAY
FOR JESUS WILL GUIDE ALL THE WAY
IN PATHS THAT ARE RIGHTEOUS, HE LEADS DAY BY DAY
BESIDE THE STILL WATERS I'LL STAY

BESIDE THE STILL WATERS, THE SHEEP COME AND DINE
ALONE WITH THE SHEPHERD, IN MY OWN QUIET TIME
AWAY FROM THE WORLD, I AM HIDDEN IN CHRIST
BESIDE THE STILL WATERS OF PEACE
HIS VOICE SO GENTLY, RESTORETH MY SOUL
THE DOOR TO MY HEART OPENS WIDE
THE SHEPHERD HAS ENTERED, AND DWELLS DEEP INSIDE
BESIDE THE STILL WATERS OF PEACE,

YES, BESIDE THE STILL WATERS, I'LL STAY.

A group of us young people all anxiously waiting to be let into Still Waters. We all came expecting that the Lord was going to do awesome wonders. And I know we all left with what we had desired!!

Unloading our luggage..
The lake was so quiet, so still, so peaceful. You could feel the presence of the Lord there. It was truly a restful peace of heaven for a struggling soul in need of a closer walk with the Lord! It was like you were there to have fun, but the Lord was walking in and among us! The atmosphere was incredible!! :)

Every evening, Brother Joseph would let us each have an hour of quiet time to be alone with the Lord for one whole hour. At first you think, that is a lot of time, but when you are having such a wonderful time with the Lord you wished it would've been two hours. The time went by so fast! As we read our Bibles and prayed, the Holy Spirit fell, ministering to each one of our hearts. As the days went by it became more and more precious to us, to be able to spend that time alone with God.
Adela, Me, Jessica, Meda, and Lois. Friends for life!
One of the days that we were there they had us group into teams and we had to do different activities, such as canoeing, shooting, archery, paintball, and volley ball. And who ever was the best at all of them where the winners. Above is Jaylon's and my team. Team Lima!!

The food was incredibly good!

A thank you note to brother Joseph.
Dear Brother G. He is such a dear brother, filled with the Holy Ghost and all he can do is tell you about our Lord Jesus Christ. He is such a blessing to be around. He also lead us in singing around the bonfire at night, teaching us many new songs.

Mist coming off of the lake early in the morning.

Hidden in Christ in God! Away from the world, our cellphones, our families, all our troubles and worries. It was a perfect atmosphere for the Lord to come down and be with us.

A group picture!

Before we left we were all sad about leaving each other and the Lord showed this scripture to one of the girls in our tent.  Hebrews 13:13-14 it says this, "Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come." We all rejoiced in the Lord for showing us this scripture that was so perfect for the time.
Jenny and Micah got to come help clean the bathrooms and showers while we were out playing.

It was so hard to say goodbye! We felt very sad as we drove away, but we had a new joy in our hearts. We had God in us, and we were ready to tell the world about it! Micah and Jenny came and picked us up and drove us back to be with the rest of the family in PA. Jaylon and I went into a gas station on the way there to get some things. Coming back out Jaylon looks at me and says, "Man, everything is so filthy out here! Makes me feel like I don't want to look or touch anything!" I totally agreed with him. Being away from the filth of the world for those five days really made you realize how filthy it really is. All we can do is wait for the Lord to come deliver us from this world and take us to be in heaven with Him. Our only prayer is that we get ourselves prepared, with our lamps trimmed and burning, ready for His coming. And the only way to do that is to feed on His Word and spend time in prayer with Him!

I still have many more pictures to post and will try to find the time to post them.

Until next time, God bless you all!!

What we need today is the Holy Spirit back to feed the children, down by the shady green pastures and the still waters. Certainly. God's peace, like a river flowing through our soul, knowing that we've passed from death unto life, that we are new creatures in Christ Jesus.

that was on the tape we heard this morning and i had to put it as a comment :) and camp was amazing it brighten many of our flames!!
